FAQ

FAQ: All About Simmer Pots

1. How do you use a simmer pot?
Using a simmer pot is simple! Add your blend to a pot of water. Bring it to a gentle boil, then reduce the heat to a simmer. As the water steams, it fills your home with natural, subtle, delightful aromas. Be sure to check the water level periodically and add more water as needed to prevent burning.

2. What is the benefit of a simmer pot?
Simmer pots are a natural way to make your home smell amazing without the use of sprays or candles. They can help set a cozy, welcoming atmosphere, relieve stress with soothing scents, and even elevate the mood during gatherings or quiet evenings.

3. How long does a simmer pot last for?
A simmer pot can typically last 1–2 days, depending on how often you use it. You can reuse the same ingredients by storing in the refrigerator. After a couple of days, it’s best to discard the ingredients.

4. Do simmer pots burn?
If left unattended, the water in a simmer pot can evaporate completely, which might cause the ingredients to burn. To avoid this, always keep an eye on the water level and refill as needed.

5. Do you need a special pot to burn a simmer pot?

No special pot is required! Any small saucepan or stovetop-safe pot will work. Some people use a small slow cooker for a longer-lasting simmer with less supervision.

6. Are simmer pots edible?
Our Simmer pots are not to be consumed. They’re intended for fragrance purposes only.

7. How long will it take to receive my order.  We make each simmer pot to order so it takes about a week to process your order before it is shipped out to you. The shipping time is in addition to the processing time.
